Bangkok hawkers..
|

This was taken when i was in b a n g k o k few months back.
I was walking around chatuchak market and I saw these busy women
preparing food for their customers.
Bangkok is famous with its varieties of food. And not forgetting.. exotic food.
Its fun to watch all kinds of food staggered and piled up waiting
for enthusiast eaters. Looks like people are hungry after a long
tiring walk in the long stretch of chatuchak market.
Did i mention, I was not able to cover the whole market even
though it was my second day there!
Erm, by the way, i didn't eat anything there.
What i needed was a bottle of mineral water. It was hot and humid!

mom showed me her "sepit udang". God knows what her scientific name is.
I'm not a plant people, but i do enjoy watching it grows and blooms.
I don't have the hand of the gardener, so just let the pro does it.
And i'll do the snapping and watching.
It has not been blooming for as long as since we bought it. (which i think about a year).
Its good to see mom smile again while treating her plants.
The color is so vibrant and the bright sunny day accentuates its color and
i can't help it but to macro shot it. I know its not macro enough..
but i applied some spot metering for a more exotic effect.
What do you think?

island bug - the kemaruk version.

this feet never been there..
this feet longing to get there..
one day, it flew in its lay-back attire..
touched down the sandy bach..
and lets itself get dirty..
and be free..
but that feet was not alone,
that feet had company..
they wore colorful outfits..
they messed with the sands,
they kicked the salty clear water..
they didn't get tired of it..
it didn't want to turn back,
where it can see piles of work..
it hates to be in its formal attire,
it hates the cold machine..
that blows fake cool air and dries its skin
it rather burn its skin under the golden sky
than be in that dead stone surrounded building
it's dying to be here on that fishy-smell sandy beach.

This is my first official client and that means thats my first official bridal assignment.
Sorry it took me a while to upload the photos. Work and commitments didn't permit me to.
My concept this time is more towards candid moments and black and white effects.
Some people don't like it, but i'm glad yong loves it.
I normally shoot family's wedding, close friends but that's based on my own pace and preference.
But shooting for client's wedding there's so much things has to be put into account.
To me the most important thing is the storyboard. I tried to have fun and make it as
casual as i could. Panic beb! but as time goes i can't stop shooting.
There's so much remarkable moments, funny incidents and experience to capture.
I can still smell the gulai kawah, percik kelantan style and the burnt smell of charcoal.
I can still hear the giggles of makciks and the traditional wedding songs played during the reception.
I can still see the vibrant colors of the bride and groom, the expression
of joy and happiness.. the grace and the beauty of the bride.. divine.
And again, thanx Yong for having faith in me.Selamat Pengantin Baru. enjoy the photos..
